Congratulations to our top three winners, Jacek Dojwa, Frej Bjon, and Bence Tasnadi, who have earned $300, $200, and $100 (USD) respectively for first, second, and third place!

Below are the full rankings as chosen by our team members. We understand how important feedback is for a composer, and so we have compiled comments for every submitted track. Your entries did take a while to judge, but that's only due to the high quality of them making it so hard to choose! Again, well done to the winners, and best of luck next time to those who weren't successful.

Thank you all for participating, it was difficult to choose the top three with so many truly excellent entries. The top 3 places will receive emails with instructions on how to obtain their prizes. When the final selection process for music in the game is made, those selected composers will be notified and given credit for their music.

We would like to direct you to the Immortal Empire Trailer that was created using Jacek Dojwa's winning song.

Thanks again to the Renoise Community, you have outdone yourselves!

Jacek DojwaFalconGoddess of fateOutstandingWhat can we say, a tremendous song. The musicality and intricacies are outstanding. It really tells a story - I pictured a thief entering a wealthy estate, starting to work his magic and then running into trouble :). Will be used for title music and promotional material.
Frej BjonChotoroEncounter with Mass DestructionOutstandingEpic tune. Perfect for a boss battle. The slow swooping melody in the brass goes very well with the staccato strings. Excellent job.
Bence TasnadiNebidaanAurora PolarisOutstandingOne word that kept being used to describe this song: Beautiful. Long flowing strings that are sometimes eerie. Excellent. Will be used for background to "sad" dialog. Reminds me of a Thomas Newman score.
David Pham VanHigh QThe QuestExcellentExceptional song. Absolutely nails the "game music" feel we are after. We think this would fit well behind a desert theme, but could work for any of the realms.
Julien NevoKholdanExcellentFantastic song, very majestic and inspiring. Would be good for a title screen. Starts slow and builds throughout, with excellent melody and pace. I imagine a group of adventurers equipping weapons and heading out to battle
Frej BjonChotoroHere we standExcellentLovely song. The chord that starts at 0:22 is beautiful. Has an almost Celtic feel. We plan to use this for "romantic" dialog.
Stefan DrakstalDeserted HeroesExcellentReally unique song here, another one that reminds us of Diablo 2. We really like the part from 2:30 onwards where it takes a more minor feel. Would be good for wandering catacombs.
oleg nikitinn1k-odesert of immortal empireExcellentAwesome song - really reminds us of Diablo 2. Perfect for the desert theme, this is great game music. Section that starts at 0:52 is very cool.
Juan Manuel Avila Ocanajuanma71Inmortal MenuExcellentWe absolutely love the ending of this song. If we were to pick a "theme" for Immortal Empire, it would be the theme that is first introduced around 1:30.
Bence TasnadiNebidaanSlave GeminiGreatReally epic song with the full chords and deep swells to the strings. Opening chord reminds me of Lord of the Rings. Would be good for the Polar realm we feel.
Carl CorcorantenfourPolar theme No. 1GreatNice bright and crisp samples used right at the start here. We actually feel this fits the Grasslands realm. Great for a bunch of adventurers wandering a landscape :). This song really grows as it progresses, some excellent sections towards the end of the track.
Steve WilliamsEyspireUntold FableGreatReally nice tune. Love the part where the piano comes in at 1:01. The melody is very memorable, I find myself humming it after the song is done. This is one that you can listen to over and over. Great for a grasslands/town theme.
Nick WilliamsskyscapeConquestsGreatNice song, would be good for some tense dialog.
Steve WilliamsEyspireSand-swept HorizonGreatAnother great desert tune. Absolutely the right pace for game music. The pizzicato strings that show up at 0:40 and appear at certain places throughout are a really nice touch.
juha vilmijv7GreatReally beautiful musically. Excellent chord progressions, and a nice melody. Peaceful and would be nice dialog music. The only recommendation I would make would be to put more volume inflection through the broken triads at the very start to improve the phrasing.
Steve WilliamsEyspireThe Fray ChambersGreatThe main melody that goes from 0:35 through to 0:50 is the really great part of this tune. Some of the sections such at the part from 0:05 to 0:15 have an almost "silly" feel that doesn't seem in line with the rest of the track.
Nick WilliamsskyscapeBlack IceGreatVery quiet and mysterious. Excellent for Volcanic realm. The industrial drum section that comes in at 3:30 is really great, reminds us of Diablo 2. Would be awesome to hear that part expanded.
juha vilmijvmorkoVery GoodNice tune. We really like the chord progressions from 1:15 forward to 1:40. Parts are great for a boss battle, others are more peaceful. Perhaps good for general "battle" music.
Marc VerchianiArborealSeptentrionalVery GoodA perfect fit for menu music. Peaceful, quiet, yet still interesting. Would go well for a "building" game like civilization too.
Andrej KwadrinnazzardFirst LightVery GoodWe really like the "futuristic" sound. One of the few entries that went with the "Mass Effect" feel. We think this fits well into the polar realm.
Niko KoivistoagedforgivenVery GoodGreat drums and strings. We thought the section between 0:30 through 1:30 really stood out.
Chris CrescendoDenimNo Return. 2x LoopsVery GoodGreat tune for a boss battle. We really liked the part when the chanting choir comes in at 00:51.
Nick WilliamsskyscapeJourney Over Golden SandsVery GoodDefinitely good for a desert realm. Has the right pace for in-game music.
Bence TasnadiNebidaanOpalcyclopsVery GoodAnother great boss battle song. Really like the chord progressions that start at around 00:50, very eerie. Would suggest a more thunderous percussion, perhaps timpani, at the climax part around 1:35
Julien JollySolionFire LandGoodNicely paced tune that keeps the intensity throughout. We really liked the section at 2:30 onwards.
David CummingsAgargaraWandering SandsGoodNice song, slow paced and would be good for a desert theme
Cody LoydmrcoldvolcanoGoodAwesome string bass sample right off the bat. Very intense tune. Good for introduction of an evil character.
Nick WilliamsskyscapeBlood and SteelGoodGood choir and a nice listen, not sure about the percussion though. I think a more traditional orchestral timpani/bass drum/snare would suit the music better than the rhythmic drums.
Jonathan DupreBlackbeanA narrow cleftGoodGreat fit for the Volcanic realm. Evil, dark, smoky, barren.
Fabio NapodanoIt-AlienFlamesGoodVery intense tune. The part that starts at 1:30 is really good. Bass line that comes in at 1:48 would make for a great boss battle riff. The woodwinds that come in at 2:05 and 2:36 are overwhelming. Would be good for a "descent into madness" sensation.
Fabio NapodanoIt-AlienDance of Fallen AngelsGoodLove the fugue-esque start to this song. Almost too elaborate for game music, this really tells a story. Would be good for cinematics.
Nick WilliamsskyscapeThe EtherealGoodThe start of this is really interesting - ethereal describes it exactly. Very quiet and paced throughout. The ending seems a bit out of place.
Fabio NapodanoIt-AlienEntering Hell's DoorsGoodThis has the feeling of a movement out of an entire symphony. Would be cool for a trailer or cinematic.
Daniel AkerudTrollen KommerFairVery cute short tune. We picture a bunch of mischievous goblins stealing vegetables from some unsuspecting farmer :)
Fabio NapodanoIt-AlienPassageFairFirst thing that comes to mind with this one is the TV show Lost. Your music would be great incidental background to an opera or play.
Nick WilliamsskyscapeThe MarchFairAnother situation where I don't think the percussion suits the music. Has a sort of Spanish rhythm section feel backing some very epic chords.
Steve WilliamsEyspireThe EmbarkmentFairSounds like it should be behind a man standing on a podium giving an inspiring speech :). Nice progressions. Does not really fit for game music however.
lenny sevenp7untitledFairWe like the lower mellow tone and the airy pads, but the higher bell sound is almost too detuned. Nice pace overall.
EatMe paashaas.da.ruEatMeZowFairGood deep chords, but I think this suffers from lack of melody and progression.
Dac ChartrandBeer WifeA nice touch for a goth weddingFairMusically this is very pretty, but it is not helped by the samples. I don't think the contrast of the bright strings fit well with the mellow electric piano sound. The chord progressions are nice and the melody is very memorable :).
lenny sevenp7untitledFairWould be neat background music, but seems almost too disjointed in sections.
Jason MosackArtic WandererFairVery slow song, the piano sample sounds slightly detuned, we think a mellow piano sound perhaps an octave lower would go better here. The chord progression that is reached at 0:16 does not flow as smoothly as the others.
EatMe paashaas.da.ruEatMeHeet Boven for synthFairVery traditional sounding, definitely needs a melody and some more inflection of volume throughout to give it more phrasing.
